EDIT

This manual explains how to mount the ProTANKtion® in 7 steps.

STEP 1.
Preparation

This manual explains how to mount the ProTANKtion® in 7 steps. For assembly you need:

- ratchet or Allen key with a 4 mm bit.

- filter clamp.

If you have a Scania filler neck, you do not need to mount the adapter and you can proceed directly to Step 4.

STEP 2.
Insert adaptor

Insert the adapter into the bayonet neck and turn it about half a turn.

Then tighten the adapter as tight as possible with a filter clamp.

STEP 3.
Secure adapter

Tighten the four Allen screws in the adapter firmly using a ratchet or Allen key. Make sure that the bolts are fully countersunk within the threads.

Two bolts clamp the adapter in the filler neck and two bolts block the thread making it impossible to unscrew the adapter.

STEP 4.
Install ProTANKtion®

Place the ProTANKtion® adapter or in the original Scania filler neck (the screw thread is the same in both cases).

STEP 5.
Securing ProTANKtion® 1

Tighten the ProTANKtion® in the adapter and then tighten it firmly by means of a filter clamp.

STEP 6.
Secure ProTANKtion® 2

Place a plug in the fill tube. Use a ratchet or Allen key to tighten the shear bolt in a controlled manner. The moment the bolt is in exactly the right place, it will break off. The plug prevents the part of the shear bolt from falling into the tank.

The stainless steel tube is now free to partially slide out of the ProTANKtion®. This tube makes it possible to refuel properly.

STEP 7.
Confirm cap

Mount the chain from the cap to the stainless steel tube.

The ProTANKtion® is now fully assembled and ready for use.
