HOW TO INSTALL

This manual explains how to install the ProTANKtion in just seven steps. For assembly you will need:

STEP 1.
Preparation

This manual explains how to install the ProTANKtion in just seven steps. For assembly you will need:

- a ratchet or an allen key with a 4mm hexagon bit.
- filter wrench.

If you have a Scania filler neck, no adaptor is required and you may proceed to step 4.

STEP 2.
Mounting the adaptor

Place the adaptor in the fuel tank bayonet neck and rotate it half a turn.

Fasten the adaptor as tightly as possible with the filter wrench, using the 3mm gasket if necessary.

STEP 3.
Securing the adaptor

Tighten the four grub screws firmly, using a ratchet or allen key. Ensure that the grub screws are flush within the screw-thread.

Two of the grub screws clamp the adaptor in the filler neck and the other two block the screw-thread, which makes it impossible to unscrew the adaptor.

STEP 4.
Mounting the ProTANKtion®

Place the ProTANKtion® in the adaptor or in the original Scania filler neck (the screw-thread is identical in both types).

STEP 5.
Securing the ProTANKtion® 1

Firmly tighten the ProTANKtion® into the adaptor using a filter wrench. Caution! When placing the ProTANKtion into the adaptor, the shear bolt has to be placed on the adaptor between the markers.

STEP 6.
Securing the ProTANKtion® 2

Place a plug in the filler neck. Carefully tighten the shear bolt with a ratchet or allen key. When the bolt is at the correct tension, it will break off. The plug prevents the head of the shear bolt falling into the tank.

The stainless steel tube can now be slid partially out of the ProTANKtion®. This tube makes it possible to fill-up easily.

STEP 7.
Fixing the cap

Attach the chain of the cap to the stainless steel tube.

ProTANKtion® is now completely installed and ready for use.
